2025 Sewer Pipe Rehabilitation Program

The City of West Des Moines is seeking bids for the 2025 Sewer Pipe Rehabilitation Program, which involves the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements generally described as follows: Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining of approximately 4,222 linear feet of eight-inch (8”) through twenty-one-inch (21") diameter sanitary sewer; type C root removal of approximately 1,176 linear feet of fifteen-inch (15”) through twenty-one-inch (21”) diameter sanitary sewer, traffic control, bypass pumping, and other miscellaneous associated work. The project requires the contractor to commence work within ten (10) days of a written notice to proceed and complete the project by September 26, 2026. • The project includes CIPP lining of various sewer pipes • Type C root removal is required for some pipes • Traffic control and bypass pumping are also part of the project • The contractor must restore disturbed areas according to the specification Part 7 – Surface Restoration • High traffic volumes on EP True Parkway and Grand Avenue require an extensive traffic control plan • The contractor must consult SUDAS Specification 9010 regarding native seeding for Beh Glen Park
