The selected consultant will work with County representatives to review and revise the current Subdivision Regulations, addressing topics such as general provisions for residential, multi-family, and non-residential development, review authority, submittals, procedures, financial assurances, and performance guarantees. The consultant should demonstrate the ability to provide the required services, lead a team, and manage a group. The scope of work includes identifying goals and objectives, evaluating existing legislation and development requirements, incorporating best practices, and developing revised regulations and administrative procedures. The consultant should also provide a public engagement plan, conduct public involvement and adoption support practices, and submit periodic project status reports. Some key points to consider: • The consultant should have experience with similar projects in similar jurisdictions. • The consultant should demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing circumstances or unanticipated challenges. • The consultant should have a registered engineering firm in the State of Texas and key personnel licensed by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. • The consultant should have experience with land planning, transportation planning, roadway design, and construction standards. • The consultant should be familiar with the Texas Local Government Code and have experience with border/EDAP county government.
