Description
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for household hazardous waste collection and disposal services in Brunswick County, North Carolina. The selected contractor will be responsible for collecting, identifying, segregating, packaging, bulking, and transporting household hazardous waste from the county's permanent collection facility. The contractor will also be required to provide full disposal or recycling of the hazardous waste materials and ensure that all practices and procedures are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• The contractor will provide collection, identification, segregating, packaging, bulking, lab pack, recycle, treat, and transportation of all household hazardous waste collected at the Brunswick County site.
• The contractor will provide collection of all materials from the site within one week of scheduled events.
• The contractor will provide full disposal or recycling of the hazardous waste materials and transportation of same.
• The contractor will submit to Brunswick County Solid Waste & Recycling a listing of all wastes and quantities packaged for disposal or recycling prior to leaving the landfill site.
• The contractor will provide completed copies of manifests to Brunswick County once receipt at a disposal facility is complete.
