Request for Proposals (RFP) for Civil Engineering Services for Either Way Bridge Replacement Project

The County of Santa Cruz is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide civil engineering design services for the Either Way Bridge Replacement Project. The project involves replacing the existing bridge with a new 2-lane concrete bridge and bridge approaches meeting current design standards. The consulting firm will be responsible for performing tasks such as project management, preliminary engineering, survey, geotechnical investigations, hydrologic and hydraulic report, and construction support. The project is expected to be completed by December 31, 2029. • The project is funded in part by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). • The consulting firm must comply with the latest requirements of the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual (LAPM), Federal, State, and local regulations. • The project schedule includes major milestones such as publishing the RFP, RFP submittal deadline, award design contract, NEPA and CEQA, and construction. • The consulting firm will be selected based on qualifications and the quality of their responses.
