OPW 55171: Concrete Replacement - Various Locations - Facilities Management

The City of Omaha is seeking bids for the removal and replacement of concrete pavement at various locations. The project involves earthwork, including grading, shaping, scarifying, drying, watering, reshaping, and compacting embankments and excavated areas. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. The contract price will be full compensation for removing, replacing, material hauling, stockpiling, preparing slopes, disposal of surplus and unsuitable material, grading, shaping, scarifying, manipulation of materials, compacting, watering, re-compacting, and finishing. Key aspects of the project include: • Earthwork: grading, shaping, scarifying, drying, watering, reshaping, and compacting embankments and excavated areas • Flowable fill: supplying and placing flowable fill to the lines, grades, and cross-sections indicated in the contract documents • Backfill: placing and compacting fill material to the lines, grades, and cross-sections indicated in the contract documents The city reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
