85 Series Well Abandonment

The Board of Water and Light (BWL) is seeking bids for the abandonment of three groundwater wells in the Lansing area. The selected contractor will be responsible for recommending the best course of action for each well and executing the selected abandonment plan. The contract will be a unit cost proposal, including labor, materials, and equipment, and will be a one-time contract. The BWL is seeking a lump sum price for the work, as well as a unit price per cubic foot of filling material. The evaluation criteria will be based on the base price of the work, unit price of work for additional fill, work experience, acceptance of LBWL's T&Cs, schedule, and competitiveness of the bid. • The contract will include the abandonment of three wells: 85-01, 85-02, and 85-03. • The contractor will be responsible for mobilization, set up, abandonment to grade level, demobilization, and reporting to the State of Michigan. • The owner will remove the upper casing and pitless adapter at a later date. • The contractor will provide unit pricing for any fill less than or more than the proposed volume. • The contract will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria listed above.
