Automotive Batteries

The Kansas City Police Department is seeking bids for automotive batteries. The batteries must be capable of frequent deep cycling and highly resistant to vibration, and must be designed by the manufacturer as Extra Capacity, "Commercial", or "Fleet" batteries. The successful bidder must be willing to accept all core batteries from the Police Department's Fleet Operations Unit and deliver the new batteries wet and charged, ready for installation. The contract is for a one-year period, from February 1, 2026, to January 31, 2027. • The required quantities are: 175 P65-820cca or higher, 80 P49-93 830 cca or higher, 60 P48-610 cca or higher, and 200 P94-800cca or higher. • Bidders must submit a separate "per battery" cost allowance for core batteries. • The delivery must include unloading and loading off batteries and cores. • The pricing must be firm for the one-year period.
