The City of Montpelier is seeking bids for the construction of a shared use path. The project involves building a 10-foot-wide path and other incidentals, starting from the existing path adjacent to the Montpelier Department of Recreation Building on Barre Street and extending approximately 700 feet to the northwest, ending at the intersection of Main Street and Barre Street. The contract completion date is August 15, 2026. • The project is governed by the Vermont Agency of Transportation's 2024 Standard Specifications for Construction. • Bidders must be pre-qualified under the category of "Contractors List of Bike and/or Pedestrian Path Category" or "Contractors List of Curb & Sidewalk and Drainage Categories." • The engineer's estimate for the project falls between $250,000 and $500,000. • Plans may be obtained from Stantec in PDF format, and bidders must request the plans via email. • Questions regarding the project must be submitted to Erik Alling via email by April 1, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
