JOHN THOMPSON JR. HIGH SCHOOL ADDITION(S) (formerly MACARTHUR HIGH SCHOOL)

The District of Columbia Department of General Services is seeking a design-builder for the John Thompson Jr. High School addition(s) project. The project includes the design and construction of approximately 18,100 square feet of additions to the existing school. The design-builder will be responsible for providing a turn-key project, including design, permitting, construction, and move-in logistical support. The project must meet LEED for Schools - Gold requirements and achieve an energy use intensity of 22 units or less. The design-builder will work with the Department and DCPS to develop a project phasing plan and provide construction and construction administration services. Key aspects of the project include: * Design and construction of additions to the existing school * Achievement of LEED for Schools - Gold requirements * Energy use intensity of 22 units or less * Collaboration with the Department and DCPS to develop a project phasing plan * Provision of construction and construction administration services * Completion of the project by July 15, 2028
