Military Circle Mall Demolition and Alterations

The City of Norfolk is seeking bids for the demolition and alteration of the Military Circle Mall complex. The work involves the systemic demolition of all existing above-grade structures within the complex, down to the existing concrete slab-on-grade, while excluding certain designated locations. The successful bidder will be required to provide a lump sum cost for all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision needed to complete the project. The project is expected to be completed within 465 calendar days from the notice to proceed. • The bid must include all costs attendant upon problems arising from existing conditions at the site. • The bidder must provide a bid guarantee of 5% of the total bid. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. • The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price.
