NEW GAS LINES AT THE ANIMAL CARE AND ADOPTION CENTER

The City of Victorville is seeking a qualified contractor to install a new main gas line at the Animal Care and Adoption Center. The project includes trenching, saw cutting, concrete cutting, installation of gas piping, testing, and backfilling. The contractor must hold a valid Class A General Engineering Contractor license and demonstrate experience with similar underground utility projects. The project is subject to California prevailing wage requirements, and the contractor must comply with all applicable codes and safety standards. • The project requires coordination with utility providers and compliance with OSHA safety requirements, including trench safety. • The contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds, maintain all required insurance coverage, and accept 5% retention until project completion and acceptance. • The project includes liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per calendar day for delays beyond the agreed completion timeframe. • The contractor must obtain all required permits and coordinate inspections with the City and utility providers. • The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
