BID NOTICE: ONE (1) TRACK-TYPE 6-WAY DOZER

The City of Minot is seeking bids for the lease of one (1) track-type 6-way dozer for use at the Minot Landfill. The dozer must meet certain specifications, including a minimum operating weight of 50,000 lbs, a ground clearance of at least 15 inches, and a net horsepower of not less than 217. The lease will be for a period of 5 years or 8,500 hours, and the successful bidder must provide a full warranty on the machine for the duration of the lease. • The dozer must be a new standard production track type tractor with 6-way blade meeting the minimum specifications. • The engine shall be of the diesel type, four-stroke cycle, fully equipped with all necessary operation accessories. • The transmission shall be a planetary type, power shift with torque divider or electric generating power inverter with propulsion module. • The steering system shall be controlled by single hand lever that controls all directional movement. • The undercarriage shall have a tubular design track roller frame to resist bending and torsional loads. • The operator’s station shall have ROPS pressurized cab (HVAC-powered precleaner) with heater, defroster and air conditioning. • The unit shall be equipped with certain features, including hinged heavy-duty radiator guard, hydraulic hose protection sleeves, and LED lights. • The successful bidder shall bear the cost of transportation of the equipment from the field to the repair facility or repair the unit in the field at the bidder’s discretion.
