2026 Pedestrian Curb Ramp Retrofit Program

The City of Davenport is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the 2026 Pedestrian Curb Ramp Retrofit Program. The program involves retrofitting ADA pedestrian curb ramps in conjunction with the Street Maintenance Division's neighborhood street resurfacing program. Work will include removing sections of sidewalks, curb and gutter, driveway approaches, and other surfaces as required to facilitate the installation of ADA pedestrian ramps and detectable warning panels. The contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment, before September 30, 2026. • The project will be governed by the provisions of SUDAS Division 1 Section 1080. • The contractor shall provide a 24-hour notice to the Project Manager or his representative of any street name signs or traffic control signs that will conflict with construction operations. • The contractor shall establish and maintain appropriate traffic control in accordance with SUDAS Section 8030 and as directed by the Project Manager. • The contractor shall provide 72-hour advance notice of all lane restrictions, street closures, and detours on the cityofdavenportiowa.com/roadwork website after pre-approval of the notice by the Project Manager. • The contractor shall be responsible for washing out vehicles at appropriate areas within the site to prevent tracking of material outside the project limits or discharge of contaminants into the City storm sewer system.
