THP Grappler Kits

The Texas Department of Public Safety is seeking bids for The Grappler system, a tool for traffic enforcement, to reduce risk in vehicular pursuit. The Grappler system includes a front bumper mounted device that rapidly deploys a nylon netting system that entangles the rear tire of the fleeing vehicle and brings it to a stop. The contract term commences on the effective date stated in the signing document and expires one year from that effective date. The scope of work includes providing the Grappler Kits, Duty Arresting Net-30', Grappler Supply Kit, and Multi-Instructor Training Package. • The Grappler Kits must be front bumper mounted devices that rapidly deploy a nylon netting system. • The Duty Arresting Net-30' must be additional netting that attaches to the Grappler Kits. • The Grappler Supply Kit must be a service-support kit that includes spare parts. • The Multi-Instructor Training Package must be a training class for agency instructors to be able to train other agency personnel. The contractor must deliver and provide the commodities and services described in compliance with all requirements of the Contract on a no minimum, as needed, as requested basis.
