Description
The City of Albany is seeking a contractor to install 1-2 inch HDPE primary power conduit between transformers via directional bore method. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor and equipment necessary to complete the work. The project will be bid on a lump sum basis, and the contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest total base bid. The contractor will be required to provide a 5% bid bond, and a 100% performance and payment bond will be required of the successful bidder.
• The contractor will be responsible for locating existing underground utilities and verifying the depth of each utility.
• The contractor will be responsible for making all primary and secondary wire connections where required to ensure power service is restored as it was before the new installation work was completed.
• The contractor will be required to attend a pre-construction conference with the owner's representative to discuss any details of the project and submit a proposed work program schedule prior to the issuance of a Notice to Proceed.
• The contractor will be required to provide certification that they are in compliance with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act.
• The contractor will be required to provide a warranty for all specified work performed for a period of one year from the date of written acceptance of the work by the Owner's designated representative.
