The City of New York Department of Sanitation seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive pneumatic‑tire‑casing retreading and repair services for its heavy‑duty (Class 6‑8) vocational truck fleet. The contractor must pick up tires from the BME Tire Shop, inspect, retread or repair them to industry standards, and return the serviced tires within tight turnaround windows, while meeting stringent warranty, insurance, and compliance requirements.
• Perform retreading (top‑capping) and repair of up to 400 tires per week, storing up to 500 tires for one week.
• Supply required tread‑rubber samples with the bid and deliver two retreaded test tires after award for DSNY testing.
• Maintain 24‑month warranty on retreaded tires and 12‑month warranty on repaired sections, and adhere to liquidated‑damage penalties for missed pickup or completion deadlines.
• Comply with multiple city riders (Iran Divestment, ESSTA, EO 50, EO 39) and carry specified insurance limits naming the City as additional insured.
• Contract is a five‑year requirements contract with two optional two‑year renewals, priced per service order.
