Description
The State of Colorado is seeking a contractor to prepare at least seven properties for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. The properties are associated with significant African American Travel Sites history in Colorado. The contractor will be responsible for preparing draft and final National Register nominations, obtaining owner permission, and attending the Colorado State Historic Preservation Review Board meeting. The contractor must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards for History or Architectural History and have experience working on African American history in Colorado.
• The contractor must have at least 3-5 years of experience in the National Register of Historic Places.
• The contractor must have experience working on historic preservation projects.
• The team must meet the Secretary of the Interior Professional Qualifications Standards in the discipline of History and/or Architectural History.
• The contractor must be available to attend workshops, community outreach events, or meetings setup by History Colorado staff.
• All materials must meet the State of Colorado and History Colorado’s digital accessibility requirements.
