OPW 55160: Traffic Maintenance Office Area Roof Replacement

The City of Omaha is seeking bids for the removal and replacement of the existing roof membrane over the office areas of the Omaha Traffic Maintenance Facility. The project includes the installation of a new 60 mil white TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) roofing membrane system, replacement of damaged insulation, and installation of a new protection board. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and paying all fees for construction. The project requires a 20-year labor and material warranty from the roofing manufacturer. • The contractor must have experience with similar projects and provide a list of previous projects. • The contractor must have a manufacturer's field inspector on the job during the first day of installation of the membrane. • The contractor must provide detailed shop drawings for the installation of the protection board, all terminations, and penetrations based on the system's manufacturer's recommendation or as necessary to obtain the 20-year watertight system warranty. • The contractor must have an installer with five years of experience installing this kind of heat weld-able membrane. • The City of Omaha will not accept any wrinkles on the seams or bubbles along the seams caused by the welder or installer.
