Engineering Support and Fabrication of 777 Airborne Instrument Enclosures

The NASA/NSSC is seeking engineering support and fabrication of 777 airborne instrument enclosures. The requirement includes the fabrication of three enclosures: MBARS, COSSIR, and COSMIR. The selected contractor will be responsible for delivering fully assembled, inspected, and pressure-tested enclosures. The period of performance for this task is 12 weeks. The main objective of this project is to provide engineering and manufacturing support for previously developed enclosures for microwave instruments to fly on the NASA Boeing 777 aircraft for airborne science. • The contractor will fabricate the enclosures according to the provided drawings and specifications. • The enclosures must be fully assembled, inspected, and pressure-tested to 12 psi. • The contractor must provide documentation of drawings for custom parts and assemblies and certificates of conformances for parts, materials, surface finishes, helicoils, and fasteners. • The contractor will deliver the enclosures to NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).
