Description
The University of South Carolina Union is seeking bids for the replacement of the roof on the Student Services Building. The project includes the removal of the existing roof, repairs to the structural framing, and installation of a new single-ply membrane roof system. The project also includes repairs to the masonry walls, replacement of metal wall panels, and installation of new flashing and copings. The contractor will be required to coordinate with an abatement contractor hired by the university to remove existing asbestos-containing materials. The project is expected to be completed within a few months, and the contractor will be required to work around existing electrical, coaxial, telephone, and fiber optic lines.
