Description
The County seeks a qualified architectural‑engineering firm to design, permit, and administer the construction of a new 24,600 sq ft forensic laboratory addition and remodel of an existing 31,825 sq ft facility, ensuring full ADA compliance and integration of specialized lab functions. The scope covers all A/E disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil), specialized forensic‑lab design (DNA, morgue, toxicology, firearms, etc.), project management, construction administration, and coordination with county staff. The contract will run from award (August 2026) through completion of design and construction phases, with monthly invoicing and a 30‑day termination clause.
• Full A/E services for a ~56,000 sq ft forensic science center (new addition + remodel)
• Required expertise in ADA compliance, NIST forensic lab standards, and specialized lab systems (HVAC, autopsy coolers, secure evidence storage)
• Deliverables include preliminary design, design development, construction documents, permitting assistance, and construction‑admin oversight (weekly site visits, OAC meetings)
• Mandatory pre‑bid walkthrough on May 19 2026; proposal deadline June 23 2026 1:45 PM CDT; award expected August 12 2026
