AC-26-03729 - ASR-8 Weather Kit

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a contractor to provide conversion kits for the Air Traffic Control Beacon Interrogator (ATCBI-5) configuration at Airport Surveillance Radar Model 8 (ASR-8) facilities. The contractor must furnish all labor, facilities, equipment, and materials to fabricate a kit that adds an additional signal path to accommodate Weather Signal transmission through the rotary joint. The scope of work includes designing, constructing, and testing the kit, as well as delivering a first article unit and up to 39 production units. The key requirements for the contractor include: • Procuring and packaging parts listed in Attachment 1 – Parts List into a Kit • Delivering one verification unit within 90 days of receipt of order • Delivering production units within 180 days of first article approval • Ensuring preservation, packaging, and packing is IAW Provision 61
