Building Demolition CIP 7876

The City of Norwalk is seeking bids for the demolition of a building located at 13400 San Antonio Drive. The project includes pre-demolition Haz-Mat abatement and other relevant work. The contractor will be required to complete the work within 40 working days. The project is estimated to cost approximately $350,000. • The contractor must possess a valid Class B-General Building Contractor or C-21 Building Moving/Demolition Contractor’s license issued by the California State Contractors License Board. • The contractor must employ an asbestos abatement contractor for the asbestos abatement activities that has a California C22 Contractor’s License in good standing with the Contractor’s State License Board and is registered with the California Division of Occupational Safety & Health. • The contractor must provide evidence of all required insurance coverage and Bonds before commencing work. • The contractor must complete the project within the specified timeframe and is subject to liquidated damages of $2,000 per calendar day for any delay.
