ITS Fiber Inventory (TC023)

The City of Issaquah, WA is soliciting requests for proposals from skilled trade and specialty contractors to conduct a comprehensive inventory of the city's outside plant (OSP) fiber optic network. The inventory will provide a detailed understanding of the current state of the fiber optic infrastructure and support future maintenance and upgrade efforts. The contractor should be able to demonstrate the ability to perform the work described in the scope of work (SOW) in a self-directed manner. Work should be conducted on a time and materials (T&M) basis unless negotiated and approved otherwise. Key aspects of the job include: • Conducting a comprehensive inventory of the city's outside plant (OSP) fiber optic network • Identifying, tracking, and documenting common fiber optic cable characteristics, locations where cables are spliced and terminated, active and inactive strands, and common characteristics of fiber cabinets and vaults • Coordinating with the City's project manager to maintain project timeline and costs • Providing a detailed understanding of the current state of the fiber optic infrastructure and supporting future maintenance and upgrade efforts
