AN/SLQ-25E “NIXIE” Follow-on Contract - Notice

The Navy’s NavSea cancelled the original FAR‑based solicitation for the AN/SLQ‑25E “NIXIE” production follow‑on contract (Notice IDs N0025325R7004 / N0025326R7003) and is shifting to a prototype project under Other Transaction Authority (OTA). The new effort will focus on fabricating production‑representative articles (PRA) and proof‑of‑design (POD) units, as well as proof‑of‑manufacturing (POM) units and pilot‑line tooling to achieve Manufacturing Readiness Level 7‑8. A competitive Request for Prototype Projects (RPP) will be issued via the Undersea Technology Innovation Consortium (UTIC) in the first quarter of FY7, inviting both traditional and non‑traditional defense contractors and small businesses to monitor the portal for announcements. • Cancellation of the original FAR‑based solicitation; no RFP will be issued under the previous notice. • Future OTA‑based prototype solicitation targeting fabrication of PRA/POD and POM units plus tooling qualification. • Anticipated release of the RPP in Q1 FY7 through UTIC; interested firms should watch the UTIC portal for updates.
