The Florida Department of Children and Families is issuing a Request for Applications (RFA) to procure direct services under Florida's Responsible Fatherhood Initiative. The RFA establishes a coordinated statewide framework for the delivery of Responsible Fatherhood Initiative services through three program components: Comprehensive Needs of Fathers (CNF), Responsible Fatherhood Education Program (RFEP), and Mentorship Programs for At-Risk Male Students (MPARMS). Applicants may propose one, two, or all three program components within one or more judicial circuits. The Department encourages integrated service delivery and collaboration among program components to improve outcomes for fathers, families, and at-risk male youth.
• The target population includes fathers living in Florida, including biological, custodial, legal, adoptive, foster, and stepfathers, grandfathers, non-relative males, or male family members serving in a father role for a child age 17 or younger.
• The program components aim to improve father engagement, parenting capacity, economic self-sufficiency, family stability, and reunification outcomes.
• Applicants must demonstrate a clear understanding of the Responsible Fatherhood Initiative, the population applicable to each proposed program component, and the requirements associated with each program component proposed.
• The Department will provide an evaluation preference to Applications proposing all three program components.
