Description
The City of Columbus, Department of Public Utilities (DPU) is seeking to establish an Indefinite Quantity Agreement for Parts Washer, Paint Cleaner and Machine Tool Coolant Cleaner Service, Rental and Recycling on an as-needed basis. The estimated annual expenditure for this agreement is $50,000. The service provider will be responsible for providing and maintaining parts washers, paint cleaners, and machine tool coolant cleaners, as well as renting and recycling them. The provider must have at least 5 years of experience in parts cleaning equipment service.
• The service provider will be required to provide virgin spec mineral spirits with a flash point not below 140 degrees.
• The solvent will not contain contaminants known to the state of California to cause cancer.
• The provider must have a valid reuse program in Ohio and contiguous states for return of spent materials.
• The provider will be responsible for removing spent materials from leased parts cleaning equipment and refilling with new material.
• The equipment must have a spring-loaded door closure on units using mineral spirits with a 165F fusible link on all units with material whose flash point is below 150 degrees.
• The provider must have the ability to respond within 24 hours for a service call, if necessary.
