Description
The St. Charles County Highway Department is seeking bids for the turnkey construction of a building addition at the Southern District Facility. The project includes construction of a building shell, installation of overhead doors, mechanical and electrical work, and other related tasks. The contractor must comply with all federal and state employment/labor regulations and provide proof of insurance. The project is expected to last approximately three months.
• The building addition will be used to store bulk containers of petroleum products.
• The contractor must apply for and pay for all necessary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing permits.
• The contractor must provide a 12'x12' overhead door with specific features such as insulation, galvanized steel hinges, and a commercial medium-duty electric door operator.
• The contractor must provide propane radiant tube heaters to heat the space to 50 degrees at 0 degrees ambient temperature.
• The contractor must provide LED high bay fixtures to provide a minimum of 50 lumens per square foot at floor level.
