Description
Clare Public Schools is seeking qualified contractors to replace the existing synthetic running track and associated field event surfaces at the Brookwood Athletic Complex (688 Ann Arbor Trail, Clare, MI). The scope includes removal and off‑site disposal of existing rubber and asphalt, demolition of concrete jump runways, installation of new concrete for long‑jump/pole‑vault runways, new asphalt base, and a full‑depth Seal‑Flex LR‑6 synthetic rubber surface with painting and line marking. The contractor must coordinate with turf work, meet an occupancy date no later than July 28 2027, and provide required bid, payment, and performance bonds, insurance, and a five‑year warranty. Bids are due October 2 2026; a walk‑through is scheduled for September 22 2026; questions close September 23 2026. The project is expected to start early June 2027 and be completed by September 30 2027.
• Remove existing rubber track surface and dispose off‑site
• Mill and remove existing asphalt base
• Demolish existing long‑jump and pole‑vault concrete runways
• Install new 3.5‑in. concrete runways for field events
• Install new asphalt base (≈1.75‑in. leveling + 1.75‑in. top coat)
• Apply Seal‑Flex LR‑6 3/8‑in. synthetic rubber surface on track and event areas
• Paint track, lane numbers, hurdle marks, relay zones, and other line markings per MHSAA standards
• Provide top‑soil and grass seed to restore disturbed areas
• Supply all required bonds, insurance, and a five‑year workmanship warranty
• Coordinate schedule with concurrent synthetic turf project to meet July 28 2027 occupancy
