Description
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites eligible U.S. entities to apply for a limited‑competition P30 grant to support “mature” synchrotron resources that provide X‑ray beamlines for structural biology. Eligible applicants must already receive NIGMS support for the synchrotron facility, and the funding may be used to maintain or upgrade the beamlines, conduct outreach, and provide user training. Applications are peer‑reviewed and only meritorious proposals will be funded. The award is expected to begin July 1 2027, with an anticipated award date in July 2027 and a submission deadline of October 2 2028.
• Eligible: U.S. public, nonprofit, for‑profit, tribal, and governmental entities that currently receive NIGMS funding for the synchrotron resource.
• Funding instrument: Grant (P30 core center).
