J065--One year bridge contract

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract for the maintenance of Umano Patient Beds at the VAMC in San Francisco, CA. The contract will be for a base year, and the contractor will be required to provide maintenance services, including scheduled and unscheduled repairs, to ensure that the equipment functions in conformance with the latest published edition of NFPA-99, UL, VA, and CDRH. The contractor will also be required to provide documentation of the services performed, including detailed descriptions of the procedures performed, replaced parts, and prices. • The contract will require the contractor to have a fully qualified Field Service Engineer (FSE) and a backup FSE. • The contractor will be required to provide written assurance of the competency of their personnel and a list of credentials of approved FSEs for each make and model the Contractor services at the VAMC. • The contractor will be required to comply with VA's information and information system security policies and procedures. • The contractor will be required to provide training certificates and certification of signing the Contractor Rules of Behavior for each applicable employee within one week of the initiation of the contract and annually thereafter.
