MQ-9A Detect and Avoid Systems (DAAS) and DAAS Ground Control Station (GCS) Production Procurements

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a Delivery Order under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement to General Atomics – Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for the production, integration, and installation of Air Vehicle Detect and Avoid System (DAAS) kits and Ground Control Station (GCS) kits necessary for the successful operational capability of the MQ-9A Reaper Marine Air Ground Task Force Expeditionary (MUX) Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). The scope of work includes the design, development, manufacture, and integration of the DAAS and GCS kits. • The DAAS kits will be used for the MQ-9A Reaper UAS. • The GCS kits will be used for the MQ-9A Reaper UAS. • The contract will be awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.103-1. • GA-ASI is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the MQ-9 unmanned aircraft.
