Notice of Intent to Sole Source KC-46 Production Extension

The United States Air Force is issuing a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to The Boeing Company for the production extension of the KC-46A aircraft. The contract includes the continued full-rate production of the aircraft, product support, studies and analyses, as well as associated data, subscriptions, and licenses. The Air Force has determined that The Boeing Company is the only responsible source with the required facilities, security-cleared workforce, manufacturing tooling, and proprietary data to meet this requirement. * The contract is for the production of up to 75 KC-46A aircraft. * The contract includes product support, studies and analyses, as well as associated data, subscriptions, and licenses. * The Boeing Company is the only responsible source with the required facilities, security-cleared workforce, manufacturing tooling, and proprietary data to meet this Air Force requirement. * Capability statements are due by 16 April 2026 at 1400 Eastern Time.
