The Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is seeking information from interested parties that can provide refurbishment services for Lenco armored vehicles within the NNSA NA-70 fleet. The refurbishment services will support fleet readiness, enhance operational reliability, and extend the lifecycle of Government-owned armored vehicles essential to Protective Force (PF) mission execution. The contractor must have prior refurbishment experience with Lenco BearCats (G2, G3, and X3) and be able to procure essential/manufacturer parts from Lenco.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Comprehensive and thorough inspection of all systems to determine the current vehicle condition and level of refurbishment needed
• Repairs and replacements as needed based on the result of the contractor’s inspection report and approval by NNSA NA-70
• Certified armor replacement of all transparent armor (glass) assemblies
• Gas and diesel engines and components repairs and replacements
• Transmission and drivetrain repairs and replacements
• Steering, suspension, and braking system repairs and replacements
• HVAC system components repairs and replacements
• Interior and exterior components repairs and replacements
• Diagnostic testing and troubleshooting
• Ballistic steel and armor repairs and replacements
• Exterior coating application
The information gathered will be used to formulate final requirements, as the Government intends to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to multiple responsible vendors capable of providing the services.
