Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) B66 BBQ Pit Repairs

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking a contractor to repair the BBQ pit at the Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) Building 66D. The project involves demolishing the existing concrete foundation and brick BBQ grill, and then constructing a new concrete foundation and rebuilding the brick BBQ grill. The contractor must ensure proper disposal of debris, install temporary barriers, and compact the site. The project must be completed within 90 days of the Notice to Proceed. The contractor must also comply with various federal regulations and guidelines, including those related to environmental and safety standards. • The contractor must dismantle and dispose of the existing brick BBQ grill. • The contractor must sawcut, demolish, and remove the existing concrete foundation. • The contractor must ensure proper disposal of all debris in accordance with local regulations. • The contractor must install temporary barriers or signage to secure the work area. • The contractor must clear and level the site after demolition. • The contractor must compact native soil and a minimum 6” sub-base consisting of crusher run or dense grade aggregate (DGA) in 3” lifts. • The contractor must pour a new 8.5’-0” x 12’-0” x 1’-6” thick concrete Slab on Grade foundation. • The contractor must construct a new brick BBQ grill in accordance with UFC 3-110-03.
