Description
New York City’s Department of Design and Construction is soliciting competitive sealed bids for the reconstruction of existing sewer infrastructure throughout the Bronx. The contract covers the removal and replacement of deteriorated storm, sanitary, and combined sewer pipes, installation of new manholes, back‑filling, roadway and sidewalk restoration, utility coordination, tree protection, lead service‑line replacement, de‑watering, and related site‑work. Bidders must comply with special experience requirements, community‑hiring goals, and extensive safety and environmental standards. The work is expected to commence on 1/27/2027 and be completed by 1/27/2028, with a total estimated procurement value of roughly $7 million.
• Replace multiple diameters of ESVP and RCP sewer pipe (8‑60 in.) on concrete cradles.
• Provide associated manholes, backfill, road/sidewalk restoration, and traffic‑control measures.
• Coordinate with DEP, NYCDOT, NYCT, NYFD, private utilities, and comply with LSLR, tree‑protection, and hazardous‑material protocols.
• Submit bid security (certified check or bond) and meet bid deadline of 9/14/2026; questions must be filed by 9/7/2026.
