BL-0165 Kenworth Sidewalk Project PE & Design Services

The City of Hickory is soliciting Letters of Interest (LOIs) from qualified firms to provide professional consulting services for the Kenworth Sidewalk Project. The project involves the installation of a sidewalk connection between NC 127 and 8th Avenue SE, with a total length of approximately 0.68 miles. The selected firm will be responsible for providing preliminary engineering and design services, including complete design drawings and bid packages. The firm must have experience in similar projects and must be pre-qualified by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). • The project includes the installation of a sidewalk and short connector segments to tie into existing sidewalks. • The firm must have experience in utility relocation and coordination, preparation of right of way plans, and preparation of construction contract proposals and estimates. • The firm must also have experience in NEPA documentation and compliance. • The project has a proposed contract time of 360 days and a proposed contract payment type of lump sum or cost plus for ROW acquisition.
