Notice of Intent Sole Source

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is issuing a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to BAE Systems Land & Armaments L.P. for the procurement of the MK 38 Decoupler Rubber Boot. The USCG has determined that BAE Systems is the sole source capable of fulfilling this requirement, based on market research. The estimated value of this procurement is less than $18,000.00. • The procurement is for the MK 38 Decoupler Rubber Boot, which is essential to the USCG's requirements. • The USCG believes that BAE Systems is the only source reasonably available to meet this requirement. • The procurement is being conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). • Interested parties may submit a capability statement, but the determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government.
