Description
The City of Calhoun is seeking statements of qualifications and proposals from Engineering Firms with experience in assisting local governments with preliminary reports, final design, and construction administration of federally assisted projects. The selected firm will provide a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER), design and construction administration services for projects utilizing federal funds, including a project involving sanitary sewer rehabilitation and/or replacement. The firm should have experience with similar projects, a strong record of successfully assisting local governments, and be qualified to provide the required services. The proposal should include information such as the firm's history and resources, federal funds engineering experience, key personnel/qualifications, current workload, scope and level of service proposed, and fee percentages.
• The project is subject to federal and state contract provisions prescribed by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and other federal agencies.
• The project may be subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA).
• The City of Calhoun reserves the right to conduct interviews with a shortlisted number of proposers before awarding the contract.
• The City of Calhoun also abides by laws such as Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, and the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968.
