USMC Heavy Lift Replacement CH-53K SIL Obsolescence and Update

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a sole source Delivery Order with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) to upgrade the Avionics, Flight Controls, Hydraulics and Electrical System Integration Labs (SILs), Maintenance Data Computer (MDC) and Warnings Cautions and Advisories (WCA) test stands to a Production representative configuration for aircraft parts identified as priority by NAVAIR. The scope of work includes the procurement and installation of hardware, software updates, documentation updates, and validation testing to ensure functionality of new hardware. • The Delivery Order will be awarded via a Basic Ordering Agreement with SAC. • SAC has been the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the CH-53K weapon system. • SAC is the only known responsible source with the requisite knowledge, technical data, capability, experience, special tooling, and test facilities necessary to fulfill the Government's requirements within the required timeframes.
