The USDA's Food and Nutrition Service is accepting applications for the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) Reach and Resiliency grant funding. The goal of the grant is to expand TEFAP's reach into remote, rural, Tribal, and/or low-income areas that are underserved by the program. Grant funding will provide TEFAP State agencies with an opportunity to re-envision how they can work with currently participating organizations and/or new partner organizations to reach underserved populations. The grant will be available for approximately a two-year period of performance.
Some key points to consider:
* The grant is competitive, and applicants must submit a project plan that details how they will achieve the grant objective.
* Grant funds can be used to support assessments of program reach within a State/Territory to identify underserved communities.
* Activities undertaken with grant funds must be informed by relevant data and/or the expert advice of program stakeholders.
* The grant requires a detailed budget narrative and a letter of intent.
* Applicants must also submit a performance progress report and supplemental reporting questions.
