Description
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Yokosuka Site Sasebo is seeking a contractor to overhaul the 2B MPDE Overspeed Governor ASSY on the USS SAN DIEGO (LPD-22). The work includes disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling the overspeed governor assembly, as well as performing dynamic overspeed trip tests. The contractor must comply with various standards and regulations, including those specified in the Standardized Maintenance Procedures Handbook Appendices. The key requirements of the job include:
• Overhauling the 2B MPDE Overspeed Governor ASSY
• Disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling the overspeed governor assembly
• Performing dynamic overspeed trip tests
• Complying with standard items and maintenance procedures
• Submitting condition reports and test results to the supervisor
The contractor must have experience working with diesel engines and overspeed governors, and must be able to perform the work in accordance with the specified standards and regulations.
