Quince Orchard Boulevard Shared Use Path and Road Construction Improvements

The City of Gaithersburg is seeking bids for the construction of a shared use path and road reconstruction improvements on Quince Orchard Boulevard. The project includes the installation of a new shared use path, replacement of curbs, sidewalks, and aprons, stormwater improvements, lighting, and other related work. The goal of the project is to reconstruct the roadway, curb, sidewalk, and aprons, and associated work, as this roadway has been impacted by tree roots and other needed maintenance items. • The project includes a 10-foot shared use path from Firstfield Road to Firstfield Road on Quince Orchard Boulevard. • A shared use path extension along Rabbitt Road to the Robertson Park Youth Center is also included. • The estimated duration of the construction project is 485 calendar days or less. • A pre-bid conference will be held on March 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM, which is optional but strongly encouraged.
