USCGC MIDGETT LINE SHAFT BEARING INSPECTION

The United States Coast Guard is issuing a notice of intent to sole source a contract for the inspection of the line shaft bearings on the USCGC MIDGETT. The contractor will be required to provide an OEM certified technical representative to inspect the starboard forward and aft line shaft bearings, make necessary adjustments, and replace the seals using Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) if necessary. The work will be conducted at CGC MIDGETT, 400 Sand Island Parkway, HONOLULU HI 96819, from December 1, 2025, to December 5, 2025. • The contractor must witness Coast Guard personnel perform an initial operational test of the equipment before commencement of work. • The contractor must witness Coast Guard personnel test all items or shipboard devices that have been disturbed, used, repaired, altered, or installed to demonstrate satisfactory condition after completion of work. • The contractor must submit a Contract Funded Request (CFR) after completion of work. • The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 336611 - Ship Building and Repairing.
