Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking bids for international commodity procurements. The Master Invitation for Bids (MIFB-I) provides contract clauses and solicitation provisions applicable to the solicitation of bids and award of contracts for various commodities used in U.S. Government international food assistance programs. The commodities include agricultural products such as wheat flour, cornmeal, soybean oil, and rice, among others. Bidders must submit their offers electronically via the Web Based Supply Chain Management Computer System (WBSCM). The USDA will evaluate bids based on the lowest-landed cost to deliver the products to the overseas destination. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing commodities that meet the USDA's specifications and requirements • Ensuring timely delivery of the commodities • Complying with all applicable federal laws and regulations, including those related to anti-discrimination and diversity, equity, and inclusion • Submitting offers electronically via WBSCM • Providing certifications and assurances as required by the solicitation The USDA will award contracts to the successful bidders, and the contracts will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the MIFB-I.

Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $10,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific dollar amount or range. However, based on the types of commodities being procured and the fact that the USDA is seeking bids for international food assistance programs, it is likely that the budget will be in the millions of dollars. The USDA's budget for international food assistance programs is significant, and the agency typically awards large contracts to suppliers of commodities such as wheat flour, cornmeal, and soybean oil. A rough estimate for the budget could be between $1 million and $10 million, depending on the specific commodities and quantities being procured.
