Description
The California Military Department is seeking a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive tree pruning, removal, stump grinding, and site cleanup at two National Guard armory locations in Modesto. The work includes trimming three mature trees, removing volunteer seedlings and brush, cutting two designated trees with stump grinding, and restoring the disturbed areas to a clean, graded condition. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, permits, insurance, bonds, and disposal services, and hold the appropriate California contractor licenses (C‑27, C‑49, and/or C‑61/D‑49). The contract is a fixed‑price public‑works award with a performance period of 160 calendar days after notice to proceed.
• Scope: Tree trimming (3 trees), removal of volunteer seedlings/brush, removal of two trees with stump grinding, final grading and site restoration at Modesto Kansas Armory and Modesto Rouse Armory.
• Requirements: Valid CSLB C‑27, C‑49, and/or C‑61/D‑49 license; registration with DIR; compliance with prevailing‑wage, insurance, bond, DVBE (5 %) and small‑business (5 %) preferences.
• Timeline: Posting 4/27/2026, questions due 5/8/2026, bid submission deadline 5/15/2026, bid opening 5/15/2026, performance period 160 days after NTP.
