Description

The City of Tampa is seeking vendors to supply and, if needed, install athletic field netting and associated hardware for its sports facilities. The scope includes: • Supply of UV‑protected, tar‑finished #36 twisted‑knotted nylon soccer/volleyball netting (4" mesh) and baseball backstop netting (1‑3/4" mesh). • Supply of ancillary hardware: 1/4" spring clips, 1/4" aircraft cable (250‑ft spools), 1/2" × 12" turnbuckles, 5/16" black poly rope (600 ft spool), #36 twine (534 ft), 1/4" cable clamps. • Optional miscellaneous labor for installation of netting and hardware. • Quantities are estimated; the City may adjust quantities up or down without penalty. • All items must be shipped FOB destination and delivered within the days after receipt of order (ARO) specified in the technical specs. • Vendors must submit electronic quotes via the OpenGov system by the undisclosed deadline, include all shipping and handling costs, and comply with City insurance, subcontracting, E‑Verify, and public‑records requirements.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $150,000

The RFQ does not disclose quantities or unit prices. Typical pricing for heavy‑duty nylon netting ranges from $5 to $15 per square foot, plus $0.50‑$2.00 per foot for cable, turnbuckles, and clips. Assuming a modest installation covering roughly 10,000 sq ft of netting (a common size for a mid‑sized field) and including hardware and labor, the total contract value could fall between $50,000 (low‑end pricing, minimal labor) and $150,000 (high‑end materials, full installation labor). The actual range will depend on the final square‑footage, hardware quantities, and labor hours required.
