Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCAD LKE) is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contract to repair and replace the roof on building 99. The procurement is in support of the Prototype Manufacturing and Test Department. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The offeror must provide all elements of the statement of work in accordance with the Descriptions in Attachment 001 of this solicitation.
• The main sub-structure of the roof is wood.
• The current roof is a failed membrane roof.
• Access to the roof will need to be via ladder or manlift.
• The square footage is approximately 2,290 square feet.
• The roof is currently leaking.
• The contractor shall provide any and all testing should they encounter microbial growth and or mold, LEAD or asbestos.
• The contractor shall include the replacement of 250 square feet of deteriorated wood decking in their base bid.
• The contractor shall design the roof system in accordance with UFC 3-301-01 and ASCE 7.
• The contractor shall provide a minimum of R-30 insulation.
• The contractor shall replace all existing sheet metal (copings, flashing, gutters, downspouts, and conductor heads).
• The contractor shall repair, tuckpoint, and seal damaged masonry parapets.
