Mobile Tactical Cannon (MTC) Resupply Capability - Call for Solution

The U.S. Army is seeking an innovative, flexible, and efficient Resupply Capability (RC) to transport and deliver 155mm artillery ammunition to the new Mobile Tactical Cannon (MTC). The current resupply capability is inadequate, and the Army is looking for solutions that can improve operational efficiency, reduce soldier fatigue and injury, and increase maintainability. The desired solution should be a comprehensive resupply system that increases the speed of ammunition transfer, reduces soldier fatigue, and maximizes reliability, maintainability, and availability. Some key features of the desired solution include: • Rapid rearm rate: minimize total rearm cycle time, supporting a transfer rate of more than 2 complete rounds per minute • Scalable ammunition storage: optimize onboard storage based on the operational concept to carry between 0.5x and 4x the MTC's conventional munitions capacity • Platform integration: utilize an existing U.S. Army Tactical Vehicle or be compatible with multiple vehicle chassis • Inventory management: enable the future integration of digital inventory management technologies to reduce the soldier tasks of manual ammunition tracking • Human factors and survivability: reduce soldier fatigue and injury, minimize crew size, and include a robust manual backup for any automation.
