Description

The United States Marine Corps, via Marine Corps Systems Command, is conducting a market‑research Request for Information (RFI) to identify additional vendors capable of manufacturing up to 27 Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) systems and associated operating spares. The effort seeks companies that can meet the existing hardware and software baseline, provide advanced manufacturing techniques, and support production, engineering, integration, testing, logistics, and program management. No contract award is guaranteed; the RFI is purely informational. • Up to 27 G/ATOR radar units (AN/TPS‑80) with IFF Mode 5/S capability and Radar Signal Processor. • Delivery of operating spares for the systems. • Requirement to describe manufacturing timeline, advanced production technologies for the next five years, and cost‑schedule reduction strategies. • Submission limited to a 15‑page executive summary (8½×11, 12‑pt font) plus required corporate data (CAGE, DUNS, NAICS 334511). • Responses due electronically via DoD SAFE by 4:00 PM ET on 1 Oct 2026; no phone inquiries accepted. • No proprietary protection assumed unless explicitly marked; no acknowledgement or feedback will be provided.

Budget estimate

$500,000,000 – $1,000,000,000

Although the RFI does not specify a contract value, the underlying production contract (M67854‑19‑C‑0043) for 57 G/ATOR units was a multi‑hundred‑million‑dollar award. Adding 27 additional units plus spares suggests a potential award in the range of $500 million to $1 billion, depending on unit cost, spare parts volume, and any advanced manufacturing technology fees. The estimate assumes a unit cost similar to existing G/ATOR production (~$10‑$15 million per system) and includes logistics and program‑management services.
